    Spending the Day on the Green Line

    Stop 1 – Prague Castle Take the green line to the Malostranská stop. Exit the metro station and take tram to the top of the hill. Disembark at Pražský hrad where you will enter the castle grounds. As you make your way through the castle’s buildings and grounds, the crowds will exit down the steps and return to the Malostranská stop again.
    Stop 2 – Malá Strana From Malostranská, take Tram 12, 20, 22, or 91 over to Malá Strana, or the Little Side. Exit the tram at Malostranské náměstí. Walk in the direction of your tram until you reach Karmelitská Street. Turn left and walk 50 meters until you reach Crème Caffe Il Balcone. Stop in for a coffee, pastry, or lunch.
    Stop 3 – Charles Bridge After exploring Malá Strana, walk back to the tram stop. From there, you will see the gothic Bridge Tower. Enter the Charles Bridge and meander your way across, stopping at the statue of St John of Nepomuk to make a wish. Then, find the statue of St Christopher and take a picture with it for good luck in your travels. Once you cross under the second bridge tower, you are standing at the edge of Old Town. Here you will find many good options for food and drinks.
    Stop 4 – Shooters Island At the bridge turn right. To get to Shooters Island, you can either walk or take the (Optional) tram one stop. Trams 17 and 18 will take you from Karlovy lázně to Národní divadlo. Walk to the center of the bridge where you will find stairs leading down to the island.
    Stop 5 – Old Town Return to the Charles Bridge and follow Karlova Street (across from the bridge) to Jilská Street. This will lead you to Old Town Square. Be sure to see the Church of Our Lady before Tyn, the Old Town Hall Tower & Astronomical Clock and the St Nicholas Church. Take a right on Melantrichova and find #18—the Sex Machine Museum. Continue along Melantrichova and you will pass Country Life on your right—Organic Grocery Store. They have a nice buffet style restaurant a few doors away. Ask them how to get there.
    Stop 6 – Wenceslas Square Continue following Melantrichova to the end. There you will see a pedestrian way that leads to the beginning of Wenceslas Square. As you browse the stores, keep an eye out for the Half & Half Cafe. At the top of Wenceslas Square, you will find a statue of King Wenceslas. Behind him, you will find the National Museum.
    Stop 7 – Apartment After exploring the museum, enter the metro stop—Muzeum. Take the metro one stop to náměstí Míru. Ride one of the longest elevators in the world. Exit the station and turn left. Walk down Rumunská Street until you reach Bělehradská Street (four blocks). Turn left. Continue straight; do not turn down right at the fork in the road. The street turns into U Zvonařky. On the right, you will pass the café where Paul read the journals. Continue further and you will reach Steve’s apartment complex—Residence Zvonařka, located next to Le Palais hotel (actual names). Walk to the end of the road (do not turn left) and you will see a nice view of southern Prague.
    Stop 8 – Dancing House Return to Bělehradská Street and walk until you reach the metro station I.P. Pavlova. Take & Pig’s Knee Trams 4 or 10 downhill. Dancing House: Exit 4th stop—Palackého náměstí—before bridge; turn right and walk along the river two blocks. An upscale French restaurant occupies the top two floors—Céleste. For a more reasonably priced fare, try Pig’s Knee: Continue on the tram one more stop—Zborovská—across bridge. Walk to the next street in the direction of the tram and turn right on Preslova. Find Smíchovský Radniční Sklípek at 553 Preslova.
